Project Info:

MOOD HOPPING, a project Faiyen initiated in Bangkok Design Week 2020, is a cafe-hopping experience that aimed to make mental health literacy easier to digest for the audience.

Our consultation with a psychological organization, Knowing Mind Center, came up with a concept that would help the audience deal with their negative emotions. We know that emotions are natural human reactions to any situation we face. It is a signal that our body tries to communicate with us. Yet, the struggle in dealing with negative emotions is never uncommon, resulting in hiding those emotions deep inside or burse it out to others.

We came up with the concept of unbottling with your negative emotions like unbottling the bottle of drinks, taste it, and write the tasting note. We coordinated with 15 cafes in Ari-Pradipat neighborhood to create a special drinks menu for negative emotions, including ANGER, JEALOUSY, ANXIETY, SADNESS, and Guilt. Through online and offline experience, participants learn to ACCEPT, EXPLORE, and REFLECT their own emotions and values in life.

The project received various positive feedbacks, one of which is from a student from Taiwan, who has now developed and created a Taiwanese version of MOOD HOPPING on her campus, under consultation with our team.
